For each edition of Amaze News, our staff nominate sites they love to be included in our Site Picks. With so many good sites out there picking three is difficult, but with a ‘highly commended’ footnote, here are our favourites for the summer,

A technocrat's dream, full of information, source code and tools for developing Web 2.0 applications using AJAX technology. There are loads more useful AJAX sites but this wins on name alone.

Those clever people at Nike and Apple have come up with a gadget that links your running shoe to your music. Programming workouts and accompanying playlists in the iPod nano, runners receive voiced updates during the run, can select a ‘power track’ for the latter stages, and can even synch and track progress at Nikeplus.com. Both Nike and Apple websites have information about this new product, with Nike offering a video demonstration and Apple an elegantly simple drawing and text version.

Possibly the best computer game ever written, and it only takes a few seconds to play, making it the perfect short break from the more boring things you have to do today.

Other Amaze favourites include www.bbc.co.uk (for their continued excellence in structuring huge amounts of information, and their leading the way in promotion of new technologies), www.imdb.com (perfect for film geeks) and www.PimpMySnack.com (fancy a Wagon Wheel Sxi?).
